Following their emphatic 4-1 victory over Olympique Marseille on Matchday 1, Vincenzo Italiano's men have now backed up that statement win with another impressive European performance. ⚽ MATCH BREAKDOWN: HOFFENHEIM 2-3 BEŞIKTAŞ

🔹 A promising first half: Hoffenheim started brightly, with Japanese defender Machida hitting the post in the fourth minute. However, Beşiktaş gradually grew into the game, taking control and beginning to impose Vincenzo Italiano's tactical philosophy.

🔹 Orkun Kökçü's injury: The Beşiktaş captain was forced off at half-time after rolling his ankle in the first half. Fabio Miretti came on in his place. How significant could this injury be for the Black Eagles moving forward?

🔹 60' | AMIR MURILLO MAKES IT 0-1! A brilliantly worked short corner involving Fabio Miretti, Wilfred Ndidi and Oh Hyeon-Gyu resulted in Murillo opening the scoring as Beşiktaş took the lead in Germany!

🔹 68' | HOFFENHEIM EQUALISE: Fisnik Asllani punished some unconvincing defending to score his first goal of the season and bring the Bundesliga side back into the contest.

🔹 72' | OH HYEON-GYU RESTORES THE LEAD! Beşiktaş struck on the counterattack after a Hoffenheim set-piece. Junior Olaitan played a superb through ball for Oh Hyeon-Gyu, who calmly finished past goalkeeper Oliver Baumann to make it 1-2. Olaitan's seventh assist of the season!

🔹 79' | OH HYEON-GYU BRACE! Ilhan Fakili broke down the right and delivered the ball across the box, allowing Oh Hyeon-Gyu to slide home his second goal of the evening and give Beşiktaş a crucial two-goal cushion!

🔹 90+ | MACHIDA SCORES, BUT IT'S TOO LATE! Hoffenheim pulled one back from a corner through Machida, but Beşiktaş held on to secure a massive 2-3 away victory!

🦅 TWO MATCHES. TWO WINS. PERFECT EUROPEAN RECORD.

After dismantling Marseille 4-1 at Tüpraş Stadium, Beşiktaş have now followed up with a vital away victory against last season's fifth-placed Bundesliga side. Italiano's team continue to show signs of progress, with dangerous counterattacks, improved control of possession, and players stepping up when it matters most.

But there are still questions to answer. How serious is Orkun Kökçü's injury? Can Oh Hyeon-Gyu maintain this form? And just how far can Beşiktaş go in the UEFA Europa League this season?

We'll discuss all of this and much more on The Black Eagles Podcast!
