A youth coach posted a clip teaching kids to turn and run on defense instead of sliding their feet, and basketball social media lost its mind. Coach Larry Umaña of T2S Basketball Academy joins the show to explain what the viral video actually showed, why the shuffle slide breaks down against real speed, and why so much of the hostility around defensive fundamentals comes from people who have never had to teach it.

Coach Nick and Larry get into the experiment behind the clip, the difference between exaggerating a movement to teach it and coaching it live, the Constraints Led idea of letting players discover what works instead of dictating it, and why the loudest pushback tends to show up around defense specifically. Plus Nick's own behind the ball zone, what happened when a D2 team begged to keep running it, and why "you'll just get crossed up" misses the entire point of funneling a driver into help.
