On the Sheet: Utah Mammoth GM Bill Armstrong

Utah Mammoth General Manager Bill Armstrong joins Jeff Marek on The Sheet to discuss one of the wildest NHL offseasons in recent memory and how the league's rapidly rising salary cap has changed the landscape for general managers. Armstrong shares his perspective on the explosion of player salaries, blockbuster trades, offer sheets, and massive contracts, along with the challenges of building a competitive roster in today's NHL. The conversation then shifts to the Utah Mammoth, as Armstrong reflects on the team's offseason moves, their encouraging start to the 2026-27 season, the development of their young core, expectations for the year ahead, and what could still be on the horizon as Utah looks to take the next step.
