Na’jai Hines Scouting Report: UConn’s Seton Hall Transfer Center, NBA Draft Comps to Tarris Reed, Clarence Weatherspoon, and Hassan Whiteside

UConn center Na’jai Hines is one of the most productive per-minute big men in college basketball, and on this episode of Locked On NBA Draft we break down his game. The 6'11", 265-pound center transferred from Seton Hall, where he led the Big East in blocks per game in limited minutes as a freshman and was one of the most efficient finishers around the rim.

We dig into his rim protection, his offensive rebounding, and what he needs to show now that he’s in a bigger role at UConn. We also get into NBA comparisons to Tarris Reed, Clarence Weatherspoon, and Hassan Whiteside. Which one does he look like most? How much of his value comes from his elite block and offensive rebounding rates, and how does he stay on the floor with his foul issues? We also talk about where he could land on draft boards.
