In part one of our Uncut Gems series on Locked On NBA Draft, Corey goes solo to highlight college basketball players who might be flying under the radar for NBA draft fans. He breaks down three guards with real production and a chance to climb the draft conversation: Ohio State’s Juni Mobley Jr., Texas Tech’s Cruz Davis, and Iowa State’s Ryan Prather Jr.
Mobley Jr. is a sharpshooting guard who made 41.1% of his threes on heavy volume last season. Davis was the CAA Player of the Year at Hofstra, averaging 20.1 points per game, and is now a senior transfer at Texas Tech. Prather Jr. earned All-Horizon honors at Robert Morris with 15.7 points per game and 36.8% shooting from three, and he’s now at Iowa State. Corey gets into what makes each of them an intriguing prospect, what their games might look like at the next level, and what they need to show this season to boost their stock.
