WINNER: Are San Jose Sharks Giving Luca Cagnoni the Green Light to SHINE on Special Teams?

San Jose Sharks’ blue line gets a shake-up—Luca Cagnoni emerges as the prime candidate for power play quarterback after free agency, with the arrivals of Jakob Trouba, Darnell Nurse, and Michael Kesselring failing to threaten his unique skill set. Are Sharks fans about to witness a power play resurgence led by one of the AHL’s best playmakers? Nolan Allan also stands poised for a breakout as San Jose’s likely seventh defenseman, bringing grit and reliability.

JD Young breaks down shifting roles up front, questioning whether Mason Marchment’s signing pushes Collin Graf or Igor Chernyshov down the lineup. The crowded forward corps puts pressure on Adam Gaudette, while goalies Alex Nedeljkovic and Yaroslav Askarov seem primed for success behind an improved defense. Key talking points include special teams, evolving line combinations, and how these roster tweaks will shape the Sharks’ depth chart and playoff hopes in the Pacific Division.
