Season 5 Episode 4: Lou Liberatore

🎙️ 3 Old Goalies Podcast – Season 5 Episode 4: Lou Liberatore

There’s a certain language that only goalkeepers speak.

It’s the language of muddy gloves, late dives, and the quiet responsibility of being the last line of defense. It’s a position that demands courage, resilience, and just a little bit of healthy insanity.

And on this episode … we’re talking to someone who has spent a lifetime living in that world.

Welcome back to 3 Old Goalies, the podcast where the gloves are worn, the stories are real, and the goalkeeper community comes together to talk about the craft, the chaos, and the beauty of playing between the posts.

In this episode, we’re excited to welcome Lou Liberatore, the National Director of Goalkeeping for Kings Hammer Soccer Club. Lou has built a reputation as one of the most respected goalkeeper educators in the country, helping shape the development pathway for keepers across one of the largest youth soccer organizations in the United States.

From building goalkeeper culture inside a massive club environment, to developing young shot stoppers who dream of playing at the highest levels, Lou has been right in the middle of it all. His work blends the art of goalkeeping with the science of modern player development, and his passion for the position shows in everything he does.

Today we’re diving into:

⚽ What it really takes to develop elite young goalkeepers
🧤 How goalkeeper training has evolved over the years
🎓 Building a national goalkeeper curriculum inside a major club system
🔥 And of course… some great goalkeeper stories along the way

So grab your gloves, settle in, and get ready for another great conversation.

This is 3 Old Goalies… and we’re just getting started.
