Season 5 Episode 9: G Guerrieri

🎙️ 3 Old Goalies – Episode Preview: G Guerrieri

Some coaches build teams. Others build legacies. And then there’s G Guerrieri… who built an entire program from scratch and turned it into a national powerhouse.

From day one in 1993, Guerrieri was the only head coach Texas A&M Aggies women's soccer ever knew—spending 30+ years shaping not just players, but a culture that became synonymous with consistency, excellence, and family.

We’re talking about 500+ career wins, top-five all-time in NCAA Division I history, and a trophy cabinet stacked with 18 conference championships.

But numbers only tell part of the story.

Guerrieri’s Aggies didn’t just win—they lived deep into November, making 28 NCAA Tournament appearances, with runs to the Sweet 16, Elite Eight, and even the College Cup.

What separates Coach G?
It’s the rare blend of longevity, loyalty, and vision. While others chased the next job, he stayed planted—turning College Station into a destination and his program into a family that extended far beyond the pitch.

In this episode, we dive into:
⚽ Building a program from nothing into a national contender
🧤 What it takes to sustain excellence for three decades
🏆 The mindset behind one of the winningest coaches in college soccer history
❤️ And why culture—not just tactics—was always his secret weapon

This one’s a masterclass. A storyteller. A builder. A lifer in the game.

Coach G isn’t just part of the history of college soccer… he helped write it.
