Is it Worth It? Retailiation on the Ice and Coaches Calling Out Players

Connor McDavid took a late and dangerous hit into the post in last night's game between the Edmonton Oilers and Anaheim Ducks. The Oilers responded on the ice and ended up taking a penalty. Anaheim scored on the ensuing power play and won by one goal. Should teams retaliate after those kinds of hits and should the league not penalize teams that respond more than the team that committed the initial hit? We break down this controversy.

Chicago Blackhawks coach Jeff Blashill called out his team after their road loss to the Florida Panthers earlier this week. Is this a wise move by a coach to call out his team in public and could it backfire on him? We analyze the fine line coaches have to walk when dealing with slumping teams.

And we preview an exciting weekend of action including Saturday night's Original Six matchup between the Montreal Canadiens and Toronto Maple Leafs.
