Hellebuyck Has the Devils Looking Like Cup Contenders + Kucherov Wants Out of Tampa

Connor Hellebuyck is finally settled in as the New Jersey Devils’ starter, and the results are hard to ignore. On today’s Locked On NHL, Nick Zararis (Locked On Oilers) and Hunter Hodes (Locked On Penguins) break down why the Devils look like a legit Stanley Cup contender. They discuss their offense so far and how head coach Sheldon Keefe has them defending much better than they did at the start of the season.

After that, they dive into the Carolina Hurricanes and how great they have been to open the season. They discuss how strong their depth (and their stars) has been in opening the season. They also get into their goaltending before ending the show with some Nikita Kucherov talk. Where could he get traded? Could the Lightning keep him for the season? All that, plus much more, is on this episode of Locked On NHL.
