Beşiktaş begin the 2026-2027 Süper Lig season with three points, defeating Eyüpspor 1-0 at Tüpraş Stadium. ⚫⚪

Václav Černý scored the only goal of the game in the 25th minute, once again assisted by Junior Olaitan. Remarkably, the exact same duo combined for Beşiktaş's only goal in the midweek Europa League qualifier against Hradec Králové.

The Black Eagles controlled the match from start to finish, dominating possession with 66% of the ball and limiting Eyüpspor to just 0.07 xG. However, despite their dominance, Beşiktaş once again struggled to put the game to bed with a second goal — an issue that could become increasingly important as the season progresses.

🇹🇷 A Winning Start to the Süper Lig

With Vincenzo Italiano rotating his squad ahead of Thursday's Europa League playoff clash with FK Kauno Žalgiris, Beşiktaş handed starts to Semih Kılıçsoy, Taylan Bulut and Emanuel Agbadou, while Leandro Trossard made his first start for the Black Eagles.

Dušan Vlahović was not yet included on the teamsheet, with his playing license expected to be issued on Monday.

The result is particularly valuable given the opening-weekend results elsewhere:

Before kick-off, legendary former captain Necip Uysal was honored with a commemorative plaque following his retirement at the end of last season.

Necip spent his entire professional career with Beşiktaş, making his senior-team debut in 2009 and representing the Black Eagles for an incredible 17 seasons.

A true one-club man and a player who embodied what it means to wear the Beşiktaş shirt. 🦅
