The swimming arc has begun... and l've survived checkpoint 1 Being ok with being a beginner at something at 30 is hard, especially when you're an elite athlete in an entirely different sport. BUT, I know that persevering through this is going to make me a better athlete all round, as well as a much MUCH better swimmer Hang around to see how much better I can get after 1 month of swimming, by which point l'II HOPEFULLY also be a runner again #swimminglessons #swimming #swim

This hair journey just keeps taking new twists and turns I did not think I'd be back here with super short brown hair (and loving it) when I started this little mini series back in May, but here we are! My advice to anyone considering bleaching their hair: do NOT do it yourself, and don't trust anyone that tells you that using maximum strength bleach TWICE in one sitting won't damage your hair (it will I promise) Frosted tips: goodbye, healthier GROWING hair: hello #hairstyle #hairtransformation #hairjourney

It's been 6 weeks since my knee said nope and I had to pull out of the Chicago Marathon, and its been the longest time off from running in 11 years I can't give you the inspiring fully formed comeback story yet, we're in the in-between. The part where everything feels slow, strange, quiet, and a bit uncertain. This is The Knee Injury Recovery Diaries, where I'll be sharing my progress as I rehab, rest, stay patient (or not), the build back when it comes, and the search and discovery of what fills my cup when I can't run. I have to do other forms of exercise outside of running and I'm not happy about it professional runner I actually do love a lot of other sports, but I feel like a fish out of water in a swimming pool, and the stationary bike IS the next most evil thing - I'd trade it for a game of rounders or joining a Netball team any day but sadly those involve running which I'm not allowed to do right now So instead of having no idea, I will be firmly placing myself in the camp of having all (some) of the gear, and still absolutely no idea... but trying at least?! #running #learningtoswim #crosstraining

When running is your everything… what happens when you can’t do it? Since getting injured, I’ve realised how much I’ve built my confidence around being good at something. But now that I can’t do the thing I’ve spent years trying to perfect, I want to face a completely different kind of challenge; doing something I might be terrible at. This video is the start of a new series all about facing fears, embracing failure, and doing things we suck at, because growth doesn’t just happen on the track. It happens when you’re brave enough to look silly, to be bad at something again, and to do it anyway. I SUCK at swimming. My body doesn't know what it's doing. My brain can't control my body efficiently to look as effortless and calm as everyone else gliding along. ee and I feel really quite out of my depth and uncomfortable AND there's ONE THING I suck at more than swimming, it's being ok with sucking at something but this is step 1, day 1, of working on that, and making some lemonade from the lemons of this injury and hopefully coming out the other side as a semi-competent swimmer

I pulled out of the Chicago Marathon, spent two weeks on crutches, and fully believed that running was off the cards for the rest of 2025. But… it turns out that diagnosis was wrong.
