How We Source Data.
How we source data
Every listing keeps its public source, its last check date, and plain language about what we know.
Where listings come from
We use public provider websites and approved public registration platforms. For early coverage, a reviewer may enter details from a public source by hand. Each listing keeps its source and check time so later updates can be compared.
What confidence labels mean
- Verified
- A reviewer checked the listing against its public source.
- From registration platform
- Details came from the provider's public registration system.
- From provider site
- Details came from a page published by the provider.
- Community-entered — confirm details
- Entered from a public listing; confirm the details with the provider before relying on them.
What checked dates mean
“Source checked” is the last time we successfully checked the page behind a listing. It is not a promise the provider has changed nothing since.
Registration status has its own freshness check. When an open status gets too old, we stop showing it as current and ask you to confirm with the provider.
How corrections work
Family reports go to a review queue; they never rewrite the catalog automatically. We compare each report with the source, record a correction when needed, and publish only after catalog checks pass.
