Mizuno Wave Sky 9 First Run Review | A solid max-stack workhorse with plenty of comfort

The Mizuno Wave Sky 9 is a cushioned daily trainer that’s designed for all-out comfort over easy runs or longer daily sessions, in addition to Mizuno’s Foam Wave design for a bit of stability. Mizuno also says that both cushioning and energy output have been significantly enhanced in this version.

That midsole cushioning - which has increased in the heel by 6mm - comes from a combination of nitrogen-infused Mizuno Enerzy NXT foam to ensure a soft, bouncy experience, and a firmer layer of Enerzy NXT EVA underneath to provide support.
