Most golfers think pushing harder with the back leg is the answer. It’s actually making things worse. The secret is in your lead hip, not your back foot. Here’s the drill that fixes this: 1. Set up with an alignment stick through your belt loops 2. Start your backswing normally, but focus on lowering your lead hip in transition (imagine dropping it toward the target) 3. Let your weight naturally flow forward as your hip drops - you should feel pressure building in your lead foot 4. Finish with your belt buckle facing the target and your chest tall Try this drill with slow-motion swings first. Your body needs to learn this new movement pattern before you can trust it at full speed. Remember: The shift happens from the top down, not the ground up.
