Turns out the thing holding me back wasn't my mileage or my speed work. Who knew.
I headed to St Mary's University for a full strength assessment and the results were genuinely eye opening. Strong in some places, some gaps to fill, and now I finally have a program built around exactly what I need going into this next block.
I also asked Dave what every runner should be doing in the gym with 30 to 60 mins a week. That bit's for you.
