STOP Sliding Forward in the Backswing
If you’re struggling to turn behind the ball, your grip might be the reason. Most golfers never think to check it.
When the logo of your glove faces too far down at address, it tilts your upper body towards the target and your lower body away.
From there, a reverse pivot is almost inevitable. You lose your rotation, and at impact the club face is open with a swiping motion across the ball.
Here’s how to fix it from scratch:
✅ Hold the club out in front of you and place your palm on it like you’re pressing a stop button
✅ You should feel a slight kink in the front wrist and the logo facing more up towards the sky
✅ That new position makes it far easier to tilt behind the ball and rotate properly
It all starts with the grip. Get that right and the swing has a much better chance of working.
