I stepped off the track before the race was over. My first race back in 2 years, my first since my knee injury, and it ended in a DNF. But I think it might have been exactly what needed to happen.
Three months back into training, minimal speed work, and a knee that had kept me out for months, I lined up for a stacked international 3000m against some of the fastest women in the country. This isn't the comeback story I planned to tell you. But it's the honest one.
I'm a GB elite marathon runner with a 2:25 PB, and this is the unfiltered start to my 2026 season.
