Mike Bubbins joins his friend Sam Warburton for Part 1 of 2 of a funny and honest Open Gym conversation about fitness, getting older and rebuilding your health in your 50s.
The Welsh comedian, broadcaster and former PE teacher trains regularly with Sam, but their approaches to fitness could not be more different. In this episode, Mike discusses his relationship with exercise, the realities of staying active as you get older and why strength and fitness become increasingly important during midlife.
While training together at SW7 Academy, Mike and Sam explore how your priorities change with age. The goal is no longer to look fitter or recreate what you could do in your twenties; it is about remaining strong, capable and healthy enough to enjoy life for years to come.
