Cincinnati improved to 3-2 heading into its Week 6 bye, while Miami remained winless at 0-5.
Burrow delivered an efficient, mistake-free performance after costly turnovers contributed to consecutive losses against Pittsburgh and Jacksonville. The Bengals quarterback completed 23 of 32 passes for 190 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions, distributing the ball to nine different receivers while avoiding a sack.
The Bengals wasted little time getting started. Dohnte Meyers returned the opening kickoff 81 yards, setting up a four-yard touchdown pass from Burrow to former Dolphins tight end Mike Gesicki.
Miami responded with a one-yard touchdown run from Ollie Gordon II, but Cincinnati took control in the second quarter. Burrow connected with Samaje Perine for a six-yard touchdown before finding Tanner Hudson for another short score, giving the Bengals a 21-7 halftime advantage.
Battle provided two of the afternoon's biggest defensive plays, intercepting Dolphins quarterback Malik Willis on consecutive second-quarter possessions. The performance represented a significant response for the Bengals safety following criticism of his tackling against Jacksonville.
The game's defining offensive moment came late in the third quarter.
Chase, who cleared concussion protocol after leaving last week's game, made a spectacular one-handed, 45-yard touchdown reception despite tight coverage from Miami cornerback Jason Marshall Jr. The highlight-reel catch extended Cincinnati's lead to 28-10. Chase finished with six receptions for 77 yards and a touchdown.
Miami refused to disappear.
Willis connected with rookie Kevin Coleman Jr. for a fourth-quarter touchdown, followed by a successful two-point conversion to Greg Dulcich. The Dolphins later pulled within seven on Willis' one-yard rushing touchdown with 45 seconds remaining.
However, Jonathan Allen's strip and recovery of a Willis fumble had already helped Cincinnati add a crucial 26-yard field goal from Evan McPherson. The kick marked McPherson's franchise-record 22nd consecutive successful field goal.
Miami's ensuing onside kick failed, sealing the Bengals victory.
Despite the win, Cincinnati's defense continued to struggle against the run, allowing 217 rushing yards. Miami finished with 331 total yards and its highest scoring output of the season.
For the Bengals, Sunday's victory provided a much-needed reset. Burrow protected the football, Chase delivered another signature moment, and Battle helped create the takeaways Cincinnati had been missing.
The Bengals now enter their bye week above .500, with momentum restored but several defensive concerns remaining.
