Brazil vs Belgium | Highlights | Men's VNL 2026. The Men’s Volleyball Nations League 2026 match between Brazil and Belgium took place during Week 1 of the preliminary phase in Brasília, Brazil, at the Ginásio Nilson Nelson on 11 June 2026. It was part of early Pool 2 action, with Brazil playing at home in front of a strong crowd while Belgium continued its early development in the competition. Brazil entered the match with confidence after a positive start to their campaign, while Belgium were still looking to establish rhythm and consistency at VNL level.
Brazil won the match 3–1 after a competitive battle. The final set scores were 25–19, 23–25, 25–15, and 25–20. Brazil started strongly and controlled the opening set with aggressive serving and efficient side-out play. Belgium responded well in the second set, increasing their defensive stability and capitalizing on Brazilian errors to level the match at 1–1. However, Brazil adjusted quickly, and in the third set they dominated with a much higher attack efficiency and stronger blocking performance, allowing them to take a comfortable lead. In the fourth set, Brazil maintained control of the tempo, managing key rallies better and closing out the match without major complications.
Brazil’s key performer was Darlan Souza, who led the scoring with 19 points and played a crucial role in offensive situations throughout the match. Lucarelli also contributed significantly with 16 points, providing consistency in reception and attack, while Judson added 13 points and was important in the middle both offensively and defensively at the net. Brazil’s balanced team performance and ability to respond after losing a set were decisive factors in their victory.
On the Belgian side, the team showed moments of strong play, especially in the second set, where they managed to disrupt Brazil’s rhythm and take advantage of errors. However, they struggled to maintain that level of consistency in the later sets, particularly under pressure from Brazil’s serving and blocking.
With this result, Brazil secured another important win in the early stage of the VNL 2026, strengthening their position in the standings and continuing their strong start to the tournament. Belgium, despite the defeat, gained valuable experience against one of the strongest teams in the competition as they continued to build their presence in the league.
