I Reviewed All 15 Wembanyama Fouls From His 52-Point Game... Every Whistle Was Correct

I went through all 15 fouls drawn on Wembanyama in this game and every single one is a legit call.⁣
⁣
The broadcast angle makes it look like defenders are guarding straight up, but the overhead view tells a different story. Arms swinging into his shooting motion, contact to the back that disrupts his balance, even a little jersey grab that nobody complained about.⁣
⁣
My favorite was the body check on the roll. I love physical guard play down low, but that's a clear shove before he even leaves the ground.⁣
⁣
Beyond the fouls, the bigger issue is scheme. The whole plan defending Wembanyama has to be luring him into outside shots and walling him off in transition. Watch Flagg vacate and Clayton pressure instead of backing off, that's how he blows right by everyone for the easy bucket.⁣

Details like this are why you can't judge plays off live speed. Put the tape on. #shorts
