After last night I'm genuinely asking if Wemby can average 40 a game minimum. The Spurs blew the lead partly because he couldn't buy a bucket on point blank looks, playing volleyball with the rim instead of finishing. Then Mitch Johnson tries to steal three minutes of rest and the lead disappears behind a flurry of Naji Marshall threes.
That's when Wemby checks back in and goes to work. Great individual defensive possession here, Mavs get exactly the shot they want, and after going 0 for 5 he was due. Then they run him right onto the Fox train, which I think is a mistake.
Having Harper parked in the dunker spot opens the window for Cooper Flagg to contest the lob. He's a split second late getting there, but Wemby's touch through contact in the air never stops amazing me. #shorts
