STRING TIP #7 - Do strings lose tension even if you don’t play?
Tennis
Yes — all strings naturally lose tension over time, even if your racket stays in the bag.
👉 Around 5% of tension can be lost within the first hour after stringing
👉 Tension continues to drop over time, even without hitting a ball
👉 Less tension often means less control on court
A few tips from our stringers:
👉 Never leave your racket in the car
👉 Protect it from extreme temperatures
👉 If you play regularly, restring your racket AT LEAST 3 times a year
