Vero Volley vs VakifBank | Full Match | CEV Champions League Volley 2022. One of the most dramatic battles in the 2022 CEV Women’s Champions League brought us a match that started as a shock… and ended as pure domination.
🇮🇹 Vero Volley Monza stepped onto the court fearless, ready to challenge one of the greatest teams in volleyball history — 🇹🇷 VakifBank Istanbul.
And for one set… they actually did it.
Final Score:
VakifBank Istanbul 3–1 Vero Volley Monza
(21–25, 25–17, 25–17, 25–12)
From the very beginning, Monza played with incredible courage. Strong attacks, solid blocking, and unstoppable energy allowed them to take the first set and stun the volleyball world. It looked like an upset was coming…
But then everything changed.
VakifBank woke up.
Led by the unstoppable Isabelle Haak, the Turkish giants shifted into another gear. Their serves became more aggressive, their defense more organized, and their attacks completely ruthless.
Set by set, they took control.
Set 2… domination.
Set 3… complete control.
Set 4… total destruction.
Isabelle Haak delivered an unbelievable performance, scoring over 30 points and proving why she is one of the most dangerous players in the world. Alongside her, Gabriela Guimarães brought stability, precision, and leadership, while the entire VakifBank system worked like a machine.
On the other side, Monza started to collapse under pressure.
Despite strong moments from Magdalena Stysiak and efforts from Alessia Orro, the Italian team simply couldn’t keep up with the intensity. Errors increased, confidence dropped, and the dream slowly faded away.
What started as a miracle… turned into a lesson.
This match perfectly shows the brutal reality of top-level volleyball:
You can challenge the giants…
But beating them is a completely different story.
VakifBank didn’t just win — they sent a message to the entire competition.
And not long after this… they proved it again by becoming champions of Europe 🏆
