Why Kyrie Irving's Return Makes Everything Easier for the Dallas Mavericks vs Houston Rockets

Kyrie Irving returned for the Dallas Mavericks in a preseason win over the Houston Rockets, and the Mavs looked faster, more 3-point heavy and finally watchable alongside Cooper Flagg. What did Kyrie Irving’s NBA return show us about the Mavs offense, Dusty May’s rotations and the Dallas Mavericks’ outlook for the NBA season?

Nick Angstadt, Isaac Harris and Slightly Biased break down Kyrie Irving’s return and the plays that showed he still looks like old Kyrie, including the Cooper Flagg chase-down block into a Kyrie Irving transition 3. They dig into Naji Marshall’s fit with Cooper Flagg, whether Zaccharie Risacher is ready to start, and Sergio De Larrea’s +34 breakout. They also cover PJ Washington, Daniel Gafford, Max Christie, Caleb Martin, Moussa Cisse, Dwight Powell and the Houston Rockets’ Amen Thompson and Jabari Smith Jr.
