The Mizuno Sky Prime is a daily trainer built around a dual-layer midsole, aimed at runners who want a cushioned ride that still feels stable.
Both midsole layers use nitrogen-infused foam. The top layer is Enerzy NXT Plus, a new compound that Mizuno describes as lighter and more responsive than the standard Enerzy NXT. The bottom layer is the original Enerzy NXT, which acts as a base for the top layer and is there to add stability and smoother transitions. The sole is also wide through the ground contact area, which Mizuno has designed to limit excess movement from side to side.
