The New Balance Ellipse and Rebel v5 are two solid daily training shoes from New Balance that sit at around the same price.
The Rebel v5 was first on the scene, landing in 2025 with New Balance's FuelCell foam packed into a lightweight design. The Ellipse launched in 2026, with Fresh Foam X and a design to make it shoe you might want to wear outside of running as well.
