July was an absolute blockbuster month for the Washington Spirit, highlighted by a stellar 5-1-0 record that propelled the club to the top of the NWSL table for the first time in three years.

The team's dominant run did not go unnoticed by the league, culminating in a sweep of July's top monthly honors. Head Coach Adrián González was named NWSL Coach of the Month for the second time in three months. Under his guidance, the Spirit outscored opponents 8-3 with three clean sheets, and a late-July win made him the fastest coach in league history to reach 25 career regular-season wins.

On the pitch, star forward Trinity Rodman captured NWSL Player of the Month—her second career honor—after putting up five goals (three of them game-winners) and a match-winning assist.

Rodman wasn't the only one shining bright; she was joined on the NWSL Best XI of the Month by two of her teammates. Goalkeeper Sandy MacIver earned her second monthly Best XI nod after allowing just three goals across six matches, anchoring her standout season with eight total shutouts and a 0.72 goals-against average. Meanwhile, reigning NWSL Defender of the Year Tara Rudd locked down the back line, earning her second career Best XI selection as the only Spirit field player to play every single minute of the regular season so far.
