Imoco Conegliano and Vero Volley Milano delivered an absolute thriller in Game 1 of the Italian Serie A1 Finals on April 11, 2026. In front of a packed home crowd at PalaVerde, fans witnessed a dramatic five-set battle filled with momentum swings, clutch performances, and world-class volleyball.

Conegliano started strong, taking the opening set 25–20 with their fast-paced offense and dominant rhythm. But Milano quickly responded in the second set, edging a tight 27–25 battle and proving they were ready to challenge the reigning powerhouse.

Milano continued their momentum into the third set, winning 25–20 and taking a 2–1 lead, putting Conegliano under serious pressure.

However, champions respond when it matters most.

Led by Isabelle Haak, with brilliant playmaking from Joanna Wołosz and incredible defense from Monica De Gennaro, Conegliano fought back in a dramatic fourth set, winning 27–25 and forcing a decisive tie-break.

The fifth set was pure tension. Both teams pushed to their limits, but Conegliano showed more composure in the final moments, closing the set 15–13 and securing a huge 3–2 victory.

On the other side, Paola Egonu led Milano with a powerful offensive performance, keeping her team in the fight until the very last point.

With this win, Conegliano takes a 1–0 lead in the Finals series, but this match proved that Milano is more than capable of pushing the champions to the limit.
