At just 24 years old, the Brazilian opposite has established himself as one of the most explosive attackers in international volleyball. Known for his incredible vertical jump, devastating jump serve, and unstoppable spikes, Darlan has quickly become the offensive leader of Brazil's new generation.

Born on June 24, 2002, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Darlan began his volleyball journey at a young age and rapidly climbed through Brazil's famous youth system. He won the South American U19 Championship, earned MVP honors, represented Brazil at multiple youth World Championships, and developed into one of the country's biggest volleyball talents.

After making his name with SESI Bauru in the Brazilian Superliga, Darlan earned his place on Brazil's senior national team in 2022. Since then, he has helped Brazil win the 2022 FIVB World Championship Bronze Medal, the 2023 Pan American Games Gold Medal, the 2023 Pan American Cup, and the 2025 Volleyball Nations League title.

The 2026 Volleyball Nations League has been another breakthrough tournament for Darlan Souza. Throughout the competition, he has been Brazil's primary scorer and one of the most dangerous opposites in the world. His fearless attacking, powerful jump serve, and ability to score under pressure have made him one of the standout stars of the tournament.

Standing at 1.93 meters (6 ft 4 in), Darlan proves that height isn't everything. His incredible athleticism and explosive vertical leap allow him to attack above even the tallest blocks, producing spectacular spikes that have amazed volleyball fans around the world.
