This is exactly how conspiracy theories get started. Wemby doesn't get called for the flagrant on Brunson, Brunson does get called for a reckless closeout, and then the free throw numbers look lopsided — and suddenly everyone thinks the league is out to get the Knicks.

The one thing I will say is encouraging — the refs did a really good job learning from previous crews on Carter Bryant's loose ball foul situations. His antennas were up, and when he recklessly threw his body in, they called it. That's a positive sign for how officiating can actually improve mid-series. #shorts
