Fenway Park isn't just MLB's oldest ballpark, it's also its quirkiest. Born before the existence of stainless steel or Richard Nixon, it continues to operate as the home of the Boston Red Sox, the foremost subject of its peculiarities.
And when it comes to playing baseball, those peculiarities manifest themselves in no greater way than in Fenway having become a factory for the double, for which it's gone decades and decades seemingly able to magically create them out of thin air.
