The Hand Move That Makes Lob Shots Stop Fast
Keep the session moving with another watch from the same channel.
Still thinning bunker shots or watching the ball fly miles over the green?
Most golfers hang back in the sand… the lead knee straightens and the upper body drifts backward through impact. It feels like you’re “helping” the ball up, but it does the opposite: the club rises, the leading edge catches the ball, and it skulls over the back of the green.
Here is what you actually want:
✅ Roughly 80% of your weight stacked on your front foot at address
✅ Front knee staying flexed all the way through impact
✅ Finishing with close to 100% of your weight on the front foot, body staying down through the ball
Try this drill: Place your front hand on your front knee at setup, and as you swing through, keep that knee bent while you lift your back foot and give it a little tap at the finish.
Do this and the club stays down through the sand instead of rising up, the ball pops out soft and on line instead of flying over the green.
