I've been saying this for a while now - Lauri Markkanen has more trade value than Jaren Jackson Jr. right now. JJJ is the better rim protector, no question, but there's this weird overvaluation of defensive bigs in the league.⁣ ⁣ Markkanen's shooting gravity is just different. He's stretching defenses in ways that open up everything for his teammates. For a team like Detroit with Cade Cunningham, that spacing is gold.⁣ ⁣ JJJ still shoots threes at a decent clip, but does he have that same gravity? I'm not convinced. The market values what Markkanen brings more right now.
