In this episode of Win by Two, Jessy Satti sits down with Parker Ocampo, one of the top young liberos to come through the Pakmen Volleyball Club.
Parker spent his entire youth volleyball career with Pakmen, developing from a young athlete into an elite libero before making the jump to the next level with UBC Men’s Volleyball. Along the way, he’s also had the opportunity to represent Canada internationally, including with the U19 and U21 National Teams.
We talk about Parker’s journey through Pakmen, his development as a libero, the transition to university volleyball at UBC, competing for Team Canada, and the lessons he’s learned throughout his career.
Parker also shares his perspective on the libero position, what separates great passers and defenders, and advice for young athletes looking to play at the next level.
