It is unlikely that you or I will EVER get into the Hardrock 100 Endurance Run. There are very few slots available and a massive lottery to potentially have a chance to run. The course looks amazing and travels through some of the most beautiful alpine territory in the Rocky Mountains. The Hardrock course is over 100 miles with an average altitude in excess of 11,000 feet. There is about 33,000 feet of climbing and descending. Teaming up with three ultra-running friends from different parts of the world a week before the actual Hardrock Race, we tackled the course over back to back days. Resting during the night and returning to the course in the morning until all the ground had been covered. Geared up with www.PathProjects.com clothing, and nutrition from www.Maurten.com we were ready for an adventure. And a LOT happened.
