SwimSwam attended the 2026 ASCA World Clinic this year in Orlando, where we caught up with Jenn LaMont, the CEO of the American Swim Coaches Association. LaMont spoke on what this year's convention looked like, highlighting shorter sessions for a more customizable schedule. USA Swimming had a major presence in Orlando, with National Team Director Greg Meehan giving the opening Keynote speech and USAS CEO Kevin Ring attending and giving a talk as well.
LaMont had exciting news for the near future as well, previewing the "New Era of ASCA". Coming this fall, this will include a massive rewrite of the ASCA certification courses, which will make them more customizable for coaches. It will be on a new learning platform, part of a huge tech overhaul that includes a new ASCA app.
