This is the New Balance Ellipse, a shoe that looks like a 1080, weighs about the same as a 1080, and uses FreshFoamX just like the 1080 used to. So while the 1080 seems to have moved on to a new foam, is the Ellipse a nod to the way things were? It’s time to lace up the Ellipse and take it for a run
