Renato Canova is back on the channel - this time supervising some of his athletes preparing for big Marathons in the near future. Julien Wanders has 3 weeks to go until the Paris Marathon and Erik Kiptanui has 6 weeks until the Boston Marathon.
Canova prescribes the squad 5km efforts with 1km moderate recovery and the instructions are for Erik to aim for 5 x 5km and Julien to aim for 4 x 4km at close to their goal Marathon pace which for Erik is just under 3:00/km (4:50/mi) and for Julien just over 3:00/km.
