Can I Run 2:15 at Melbourne Marathon?
Keep the session moving with another watch from the same channel.
My Melbourne Marathon didn't go to plan. After five months of training, losing 16kg and getting myself into what I believed was 2:15 marathon shape, my race ended at 20km with a torn calf muscle.
In this video, I explain what happened, what my MRI revealed and whether the Puma Fast-R 3 shoes, weight loss or training load contributed to the injury. More importantly, I share my thoughts on dealing with marathon disappointment and why the months of training are never wasted, regardless of the result.

Thanks to everyone who followed the Melbourne Marathon training block and reached out after the race. One disappointing result doesn't undo five months of hard work. Looking forward to recovering and getting back into training.
