FIX Your Backswing With This Simple Trail Arm Drill
Ever get to the top of your backswing and feel like your arms and body are fighting each other?
Most golfers try to fix this by thinking about width or turn. It feels like the right focus, but if your trail arm isn’t folding properly, no amount of turn will fix the disconnect, and it just adds tension instead.
Here is what you actually want:
✅ Let your trail elbow fold naturally as the club goes back, this keeps you on plane instead of forcing an arm that’s too straight or too bent
✅ Let the fold and rotation happen in time with your shoulder turn, not ahead of it or behind it, this is what actually links your arms and torso together
Try the reverse grip drill above to get the feel.
