There are easier ways to love trail running than buying a running store. Vivek Gowri bought San Francisco Running Company, taking responsibility for a community that helped shape his own relationship with the sport. But ownership gave him something more than a business. It gave him an opportunity to influence who feels welcome in trail running.
In this conversation, we explore the responsibility of owning a beloved running store, why representation matters, and what happens when someone who loves a sport decides to help shape its future. From Ben Dhiman's historic UTMB victory to a women's trail half marathon with a $25,000 prize purse, Vivek is putting his convictions into practice.
