Most swimmers think dropping time requires muscling more water. In reality, trying to pull harder is exactly why you hit the wall completely gassed.
If you want to swim faster for longer using significantly less energy, you need to stop focusing on your lats and start focusing on your alignment with The Invisible Line Test.
Here is how you fix your stroke to maximize your efficiency:
π The Laser Line: Imagine an invisible line cutting straight down the center of your body, from your head through your spine. You are not allowed to cross it.
π― The Entry: Enter the water directly in front of your shouldersβabout half a meter out. If your hand crosses that center line, imagine the laser chops it off!
β¬οΈ The Pull: Drive your fingertips down the length of the pool, then straight to the bottom. Never let your pull sweep under your chest.
π The Long Axis: Keep all your rotation (including your breath) strictly on this central axis to reduce drag and maintain your momentum.
Stop fighting the water and start swimming with smart geometry.
