There are 3 main ways backstroke swimmers' setup for their start. The common denominator in these three positions is hips being high out of the water, ready to jump up and back on the starting whistle. There is no proven "best" way to set up here, as we see elite backstroke swimmers with tons of variety. How do you setup your start?
