Saucony Endorphin Elite 3 Vs Asics Metaspeed Sky Tokyo | Which race day shoe takes the top spot?

The Metaspeed Sky Tokyo is a high performance race shoe made for runners who increase speed by opening up their stride. It’s designed to provide increased efficiency when runners take longer steps, helping you to hold your pace longer into a race.

Inside the midsole, there are two foams working together. On the bottom, there’s FF LEAP, a light and bouncy foam that cushions landings and gives you a high level of energy return with each push-off. On top of that is FF TURBO PLUS foam, which adds responsiveness and improves the support of the ride.

The Saucony Endorphin Elite 3 is the third iteration of the brand’s popular carbon-plated racing shoe, featuring some updates to the previous version.

The midsole uses two layers of incrediRUN foam, which Saucony has designed to combine ultra-soft cushioning with plenty of energy return, aiming to give a fast and efficient ride. Alongside it is a re-engineered carbon fibre plate which now has a slotted design. This has been fine-tuned to enhance Saucony’s SpeedRoll, aiming to give a smoother ride and more propulsive transitions from one stride to the next.
