The Kings Head Canter is a point-to-point 5K road race through the East Sussex countryside, starting in the village of Chiddingly and finishing outside the Kings Head Pub in East Hoathly. Organised in support of the pub's own 1648 Brewing Company and the Jog Shop in Brighton, it's a small, community-run event with a proper village feel.
Prizes are awarded across the male, female and age-graded categories, and every finisher gets to swap their race number for a free pint of 1648 beer (or a soft drink) back at the pub.
Tom heads to the event to test out the Brooks Hyperion Elite 6.
