Why Have Wingers Stopped Scoring Goals?

The 2010s was a decade dominated by wingers from Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo to Bale, Neymar, and Hazard, which continued into the 2020s through the likes of Mohamed Salah and Ousmane Dembélé.

But this season, the goal scoring of wide players has collapsed, and it hasn't been replaced by goals from centre-forwards.
