Wait, Are Hull City... Actually Good?

Hull City survived in the Championship on goal difference last season, before being hit with an EFL transfer embargo owing to unpaid debts, and appointing their fourth permanent manager in thirteen months. The Tigers were installed as the third favourites to be relegated in pre-season, and yet, a third of the way through the season, Sergej Jakirovic's side are 5th, inside of the play-off places, and one of the form teams in the division. The Remarkable Rise of Qarabag FK

Twelve-time Azerbaijan Premier League title winners Qarabağ FK have been the surprise packages in this season's UEFA Champions League, beating Benfica and FC Copenhagen, and drawing 2-2 against Chelsea. It's a remarkable feat, not least because Qarabag hail from war-torn ghost town in the contested region of Nagorno-Karabakh and were almost dissolved in the early 2000s.
