The Secret to Effortless Power
Most golfers freeze their head trying to “stay down.”
That kills rotation.
And when rotation stalls, you lose speed and low-point control.
Here’s what actually works:
Your pressure shifts first. Then your torso rotates around that pressure.
Your head responds naturally — it doesn’t stay frozen.
Fix it:
• On the backswing, feel your lead ear move slightly down as your trail hip loads• In transition, shift pressure into your lead foot before you rotate• Through impact, allow your trail ear to lower as your chest opens• Feel your chest rotating past the ball — not stuck behind it
It might feel different.
But when pressure shifts before rotation, you’ll notice:
• Cleaner contact• More compression• Effortless speed• More “flush” strikes without swinging harder
